At our Jeff's Camp board meeting this month, we were blessed with some special guests. Don from Ma Deuce Deuce, and Sam; as well as Art from the Lacey Elks Veterans Committee, and Scotty. Scotty will graduate his service dog training in June.
The Lacey Elks' Veterans Committee provides Welcome Home Kits for veterans as they transition from homelessness to their own permanent housing. Welcome Home Kits include much needed items for the new apartment such as basic cooking and cleaning items to help make their house a home.
Ma Deuce Deuce is a local veterans nonprofit that works to bring awareness of veterans experiencing suicide ideation and link them to camaraderie, recreation opportunities and other therapeutic supports.
