Jeff's Camp is honored to welcome Dr. Philip Nufrio as the Organization's Director of Strategic Planning. Dr. Nufrio brings to the table more than 30 years of experience and expertise in Strategic planning, and is dedicated to helping the organization succeed in its mission.
Phil has worked in higher education for 31 years serving as Emeritus Professor of Public Policy and Administration for the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY), and has a proven track record of accomplishment both as a scholar, academic/faculty leader, and a management consultant to the public and profit making sector.
His specialties include Organizational development, Organizational Problem Solving/Strategic Planning, Team Building, Action Research and Action Learning.
As an early pioneer in the development remote learning platforms, Phil published two widely acclaimed books and authored many peer reviewed publications in the areas of action learning/team building, distance education and statistical methods.
He is a lifelong member of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA), has formerly served as President of the NJ ASPA and has served as national chair of two ASPA professional sections. He has also presented at numerous national professional conferences on a vast variety of public policy and public administration topics.
As a recognized leader in higher education and public policy administration, Phil has served on numerous committees including the Presidential Search Committee, Continuous Improvement Council, University Accreditation bodies (e.g. Middle States and the National Association for Schools for Public Affairs and Administration) and chartered a chapter of the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration, Pi Alpha Alpha.
Dr. Phil holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Rutgers University and Masters of Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. He is also credentialed as a Management analyst by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget, National Bureau of Standards, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and is a Training and Organizational Development Specialist for Kaiser Permanente of California.
